This session will be about digital challenges and breakthroughs of film events in Jerusalem during the pandemic.
On bridging communities and the role of filmmakers in a multicultural, religiously diverse and divided city.
We will discuss how these experiences can be transferred to the theatre sphere and how the fields of film and theater meet more than ever before in distributing culture to the public as well as in leveraging both artistic communities during a crisis.

Benjamin Freidenberg is graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film School Jerusalem and holds bachelor’s & master's degrees from the Department of Linguistics at the Hebrew University. Currently, His PhD focuses on cinematography in comparison to visual languages. Friedenberg researched for archival documentary film projects of the Jerusalem Cinematheque and the Israeli audio-visual collection of Harvard University. CEO & Founder of Jerusalem Filmmakers Guild since 2016.
